Day 1: Arrive Hanoi

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport, Viet Bamboo Travel's car will pick you up and transferred to a hotel in Hanoi. Check into hotel.
Overnight in Hanoi.
 

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)

You are met at 08:30 in the hotel lobby. There is a morning and afternoon schedule, as well as an organised lunch. 
Morning we visit: Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh Museum; The Temple of Literature, A local Vietnamese lunch.
Afternoon we visit:  A traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese water puppets; Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake; A one-hour cyclo tour through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter - a must for any visitor to Hanoi! You will finish city tour round 17:00. Come back hotel.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)

07:30 - 07:45 Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Halong Bay. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. 
10:30 Stopover on the way for short break. 
12:30 Arrive at Hon Gai wharf - Meet the captain, crews and join us for a welcome drink, cruise briefing, safety instructions and check-in cabins. 
13:00 Lunch with fresh seafood is served while cruising towards Vong Vieng floating village, passing through extraordinary shaped-islands. 
15:30 Drop anchor at Vong Vieng: visit local houses, fish farm, schools and have a chat with the friendly fish men. (You also swim here if you like) The other option is to travel by kayak (passenger row kayaks for themselves). The kayaking option is $10.00 per person unless pre-booked.  
17:00 Back on board, enjoy the sunset and continue cruising to Luom Bo for anchoring.
19:00 Dinner is served.
21:00 Enjoy the comfort in your cabin or night fishing… and overnight on junk.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Lao Cai (B) - by night train

06:30 Enjoy the bay’s morning landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. 
07:30 Lightly breakfast is served.
08:30 Explore the mystery of Sung Sot cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay.
09:30 Back on board, continue cruising, enjoy the stunning views of the Bay and relax.
10:30 Lunch is served on board while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier.
11:30 Check-out.
12:00 Arrive Hon Gai wharf. Farewell.
12:30 Return from Halong to Hanoi.
14:30 Stop-over in Dong Trieu town to visit a ceramics workshop. 
16:30 Arrive in Hanoi.
20:00 Our guide will transfer you to the rail tstion for the night train to Lao Cai

Day 5: Sapa - Sin Chai - Cat Cat (B, L)

Picked up at Lao Cai Railway station early in the morning by bus. Arrive at Sapa round 08:00. Check in hotel, breakfast and shower. You will be taken by jeep or car or van to the Silver Waterfall; from there you can see stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the lush forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park. Continue by car or van uphill to Heaven's Gate, the highest stretch of road in Vietnam as well as the provincial border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces. Here you will have a fantastic opportunity to view the magnificent scenery. After the Pass, take off the car to trek down to Fanxipan valley. You follow the paths of the local people in the mountain & reach Sin Chai village. Visit Sin Chai & Cat Cat village of the H’mong people. Then the car wait for you in Cat Cat & take you back up to Sapa roughly 16:00.

Day 6: Lao Chai - Ta Van Village (B, L, D)

Breakfast before a private car transfers you to Lao Chai village, a village of the Black H’mong. A short walk down to the river will take you to a hill tribe house to see their living style and the local women making their handicraft clothes. Further on along the road, the Tavan village where Dzay people stay can be seen. Visit the village and learn their customs.

Day 7: Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi (B, L) - by night train

We start the trip after breakfast, heading up to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Zdao tribe where you will have lunch. Amazing sceneries and beautiful waterfall are to be seen in the afternoon before going up to the main road where you will be picked up by Viet Bamboo Travel’s car. Ride back to Sapa and you might stop some times on the way to take photos of the fabulous valley of Sapa. Leave Sapa for Lao Cai Station in the afternoon by bus. Dinner at Lao Cai Station then get the night train to Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi - Hue (B) - by flight

Train arrives back in Hanoi at around 06:00 in the morning. Pick up at the railway station and drive to the restaurant or Hotel for breakfast. Relax until transfered to the airport for the flight to Hue. Upon arrival in Hue, you will be picked up and transfered to hotel for check in and relax.

Day 9: Hue City Tour (B, L)

AM: Visit Royal Citadel which was constructed by Emperor Gia Long in the style of French military architect Vau Ban during the first decades of the 19th century. Before leaving the site of Imperial city we visit Imperial Museum, many precious objects which were salvaged from the Imperial city then we visit Khai Dinh Tomb, have lunch.
PM: A boat trip along Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda, Minh Mang tomb, visit Dong Ba market.

Day 10: Hue - Hoi An (B, L)

Upon leaving Hue we drive south to Hoi An which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. The scenic road is hugging the coastline before crossing over the winding Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes. We stop en route to visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang City, the East Sea and the Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe. Accommodation at hotel in Hoi An.
 

Day 11: Hoi An Walking Tour (B, L)

Today we include some of these on a walking tour past many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls which reflect the town's multi-cultural past. A perfect way to round off the day is a boat trip on the Thu Bon River, which also gives us a chance to admire the spectacular countryside and explore a handicraft ceramic village and boat building yards.

Day 12: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City (B) - by flight

AM: Free & easy
PM: Transfered to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, picked up and transfered to hotel for check in and relax.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel. Then spend full day visiting the city: Ho Chi Minh City is the largest and busiest city in Vietnam with a population of 6 million people. We start our tour with a visit to the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. Close to this sight are some of the best French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office. Visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda, the War Remnant and the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Here anything and everything is for sale. Lunch at local restaurant. Afterwards we continue to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Turn back to Ho Chi Minh City for relax.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta (B, L)

08:00 pick up at hotel. Transfer to My Tho. Take the motorized boat through the Bao Dinh natural canal; view the stilhouse and the fruit plantation along the canal sides. Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market. Proceed to the Tortoise Island. Lunch served in the heart of the orchard. Enjoy the nice boat ride through the Tan Tach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit the family business where you can experience the agricultural lifestyle. Trekking through the fruit plantation in Thoi Son island, enjoy the rowing boat ride on the creeks before returning to My Tho by rowing boat. Proceed to Can Tho. Check in on arrival.

Day 15: Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

08:00 After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit floating market with the busy sense right at the time. Keep cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice noodles making village. Experience the “monkey Bridge “in the Delta. Visit the second floating market of Cai Rang. Break time for lunch. Return to Ho Chi Minh city. Stop for visit & rest at the Bonsai garden in My Tho. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh city.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
 

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure (B)

Free at leisure until time to transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
